With a background in European and North American political history, illustrator Raymond Biesinger puts out an extraordinary amount of work from his studio in Montreal: Since 2000, his images have been a part of over 1000 projects across five continents. He’s won a range of commissions from clients like Adidas, the Guardian, BMW, Sub Pop Records, and the New York Times, all attracted by his bright colors and knack for paring down systems into easily understood graphics.
Biesinger is one of the many illustrators, designers, and journalists in our new book Visual Journalism. The book follows the developments in the growing field of information visualization, tracing how a form of illustration grew to be one of the leading forms of non-verbal communication.
