“The theme in most of my work revolves around reminding myself and everybody else how great and stupid humans can be, and therefore how great and stupid life can be,” says multidisciplinary artist Alan Fears. That’s certainly the theme behind his whimsical paintings that see the funnier side of life, and are mainly inspired by the music and culture of the 1980s.
Most of his recent paintings pay homage to icons as big as Lionel Richie, Michael Jackson and, of course, Debbie Gibson. And you can enjoy these delightful depictions courtesy of a new limited edition 2018 calendar, available to buy from Alan’s website.
The A3 ring binder calendar has 12 pages printed on 160gsm satin paper and features many of his 2017 paintings, from ‘Pussy Appeal’ to ‘Hard Times and Soft Furnishings’. Organise your life or just cut the pictures out and frame them. Priced at £20.00 each including shipping.
