The network responded to a tweet of a video clip of President Trump beating up a wrestler with the CNN logo on his face.

In what he claimed was a “modern day presidential” use of social media, President Donald Trump tweeted a video of him assaulting a wrestler with the CNN logo superimposed on his face. He included #FraudNewsCNN #FNN in his tweet, two hashtags he’s recently introduced in his continued attacks against the network.

The network responded saying it was a “sad day” because the President of the United States was encouraging violence against reporters.

“It is a sad day when the President of the United States encourages violence against reporters. Clearly, Sarah Huckabee Sanders lied when she said the President had never done so. Instead of preparing for his overseas trip, his first meeting with Vladimir Putin, ‎dealing with North Korea and working on his health care bill, he is involved in juvenile behavior far below the dignity of his office. We will keep doing our jobs. He should start doing his.”

GOP strategist and CNN commentator Ann Navaro also called his tweet an incitement to violence.

“This is just going way too far,” she said. “The president of the United States is inciting violence against the free press. In America we cannot stand for it.”

“It is disgusting by this president,” she continued. “Yet one more disgusting act.”

Just another day in this modern day presidency.

My use of social media is not Presidential – it’s MODERN DAY PRESIDENTIAL. Make America Great Again!
