The Cantilevered Cabin in the Woodlands of North Carolina

Despite its tropical name, the rural town of Bahama, North Carolina, is a sprawling woodland with gentle hills and abundant trees. At around one-and-a-half-thousand square feet, the Corbett Residence by In Situ Studios is a slightly-cantilevered cabin that offers a peaceful hide-out in the already rural area. The low, narrow volume echoes the flat horizon across the temperate sprawl and nearby creek.
