For creative agency EVERY DAY IS THE DAY, an open floor plan is essential to the constant flow of energy that keeps the team in sync while working on a cast of exciting projects. The architects at General Design Co. kept this in mind when designing their Tokyo office, which spans a breezy 200-square-meter interior in the Jingumae neighborhood. They stripped the space of its existing ceiling and floors to allow the weathered beauty of the 50-year-old building to shine through; antique furniture and a larger oak-and-copper table add to the understated beauty of the inner-city office. To round out the space and maintain a balmy, tropical vibe, the designers also included a bevy of plants to bring a burst of life and fresh air.
