IKEA prides itself on supplying customers with quality, customizable furniture—and its new METOD kitchen line is no different. To promote the new range of furnishings, BBH Singapore launched a whimsical :60 spot that compares designing a custom kitchen to cooking a delicious meal. Miniature IKEA products represent fresh ingredients—a series of counters as a juicy rack of meat, or white wall shelves stacked like a can of sardines, for example. The “food” is cooked in a pan and cooked as a stir fry, then the finished meal reveals a miniaturized version of the kitchen design. The ad ran as part of an integrated regional campaign that included film, digital, print and social media components for IKEA in Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand.
