Dutch creative duo Jouw Wijnsma and Martin Kullik – otherwise known as Steinbeisser – have launched an extraordinary collection of cutlery and tableware created by more then 25 international artists in five years of ‘Experimental Gastronomy’ – an initiative that brings together renowned chefs and artists for a one-of-a-kind culinary experience.

Artists such as Deborah Rudolph, Erica Iman and Eva Burton create unique cutlery, dishes, bowls and glasses that celebrate experimentation and are driven by a desire to discover new ways to enjoy food.

The pieces don’t follow the normal rules of usability. Instead, they challenge diners to reconsider preconceptions about the relationship between tableware and themselves. So if you didn’t think it was possible to merge a spoon with a gun, or transform DIY tools into knives and forks – think again!

Based at the Lloyd Hotel & Cultural Embassy in Amsterdam, Experimental Gastronomy showcases contemporary cuisine at the highest level, uniting design, gastronomy, and nature. If you love these unusual pieces, many can be purchased via Steinbeisser’s online store Jouw… – which in Dutch means ‘Your’.
