Glasgow design studio Jamhot has launched a Europe wide campaign encouraging young people to Give A Vote in the forthcoming European Elections this May.

With only 28% of young people taking part in the 2014 EU elections, the campaign looks to give young people a voice – asking what they “give a shit about” and encouraging young Europeans to transform their opinions into voting action.

The campaign, developed in conjunction with the European Youth Card Association in Brussels, launches in 13 countries across Europe including France, Germany, Belgium and Portugal. A team of 26 Youth Activists will bring the campaign to life through a series of local events and digital engagement activities.

The giveavote.eu campaign microsite provides info on the voting process, and how the EU influences the lives of young people through activities including travel, education, jobs, equality, mobility and the environment.

“This has been an amazing campaign to be part of,” says Graeme McGowan, Creative Partner at Jamhot. “Collaborating with the incredible communications team at the European Youth Card Association, we were blown away by the energy and enthusiasm of the young people we engaged across Europe as part of this project. It’s been inspiring to see and hear the hopes and dreams that young people have for their future and hope that more of them will make their voices heard and change things for the better.”
