It’s going to be a long day.
Tech leaders will be arriving in New York Wednesday to meet with President-elect Trump about the economy and jobs.
Expected to attend: Alphabet CEO Larry Page, Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk, Apple CEO Tim Cook, Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, Cisco CEO Chuck Robbins, IBM CEO Ginni Rometty, Intel CEO Brian Krzanich and Oracle CEO Safra Catz. Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos might also be part of the gathering, said sources.
We don’t know what time these Silicon Valley executives will arrive, so we’ll be keeping an eye on Musk’s Twitter (and Bezos’s) feed as well as watching the live feed of the lobby at Trump Tower. Join us!
The above feed has been going in and out of the Trump Tower live stream. If it’s not currently showing it you can watch C-span’s live feed here.
Looks like they are starting to arrive:

Not expected at today’s meeting is Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey, who wasn’t invited even though Trump is a prolific user of his platform. But RNC spokesman Sean Spicer said he would be invited to “follow-up meetings.” Dorsey may not be there, but he sent a strong anti-surveillance message to Trump yesterday with his interview of Edward Snowden.

Something you don’t hear from presidents or presidents-elect very often:
Anything we can do to help this go on and really be there for you, you’ll call my people, you’ll call me, it doesn’t make any difference.
Trump to tech CEOs: “Anything we can do to help, you call me.”
Presidents are not supposed to say this to huge corporations, btw. pic.twitter.com/yWTHLYIHWl

Trump also addressed problems with trade across borders, saying:
We’re going to make it a lot easier for you to trade across borders. There’s a lot of restrictions, a lot of problems that I think you see. And if you have any ideas on that, that would be great.
