Simoul Alva is a designer we’ve long admired, and likely one of the most talented, and astonishingly hard-working grads we’ve ever encountered.

So far, her graphic design career has taken her from her birthplace in Mumbai, India, to Paris, Abu Dhabi, Russia, and now to New York, interning on Michael Bierut’s team at Pentagram. That’s a lot for any career; it’s pretty staggering when you consider that all of that happened before she even graduated with her B.A.

One of the projects that caught our eye lately is her response to a brief to invent your own festival/special occasion using Nestle Products. The result is Miss U Month, which “helps people celebrate nostalgia and the idea of missing someone by sending customised care packages to the people they love for an entire month,” she explains.

“The Nestlé family of products is one of the most iconic and memorable FMCG brands people grow up on in India. This festival fosters love, gratitude and encourages people to think of each other. It is designed to be personal, simple, evocative and memorable.”

Alva worked across all conceptualisation, copy writing, design, illustration and creative direction for the campaign, and it resulted in her being awarded the Kyoorius Young Blood Award-In Book, which celebrates creative professionals 28 years and under. The designer is currently working at Think Tank Team. Samsung Research America, California, as a visual design intern.

Keep an eye on her: we predict very big things indeed.
