Inspiration can be found everywhere in our city streets, but you wouldn’t expect bricks, manhole covers, pipes and other industrial infrastructure to form the basis of a new ceramic homeware and gift collection.
For London-based designer Christian Marsden, founder of StolenForm, he has long been inspired by the urban environment. Years spent journeying through London’s streets led him to take stock of the “ubiquitous and foundational features of the capital that are so often overlooked”, and repurpose them into quirky tin can mugs, pipe cups, and brick vases and bowls.
With each piece moulding the time-honoured tradition of British craftsmanship with contemporary design practice, his range of products are individually handmade in slip-cast earthenware ceramic and finished in a variety of colour glazes. And they’re 100% handmade.
You can see StolenForm at Pulse from 14-16 May 2017 at Olympia London. Find out more about Christian and his products at www.stolenform.com. Or you can follow him on Instagram and Twitter via @stolenform.
