Yesterday, Jones, who is art director of Oneworld Publications and a freelance designer, tweeted a series of images from the London Book Fair at Olympia. “It didn’t take me long to gravitate towards the Polish Book Institute stand,” he says, “but it did take me a while before I left.”
The Polish booth (Hall 5 D115) is presenting new publications from Poland, recent titles from the Institute, as well as 100 books as part of a display of Fresh Book Design from Poland.
We were suitably taken with the selection Jones sent out to his followers and so asked him to collect together some of his favourites for a post. Emailing them in, direct from the floor of the fair, Jones explained that the collection had been organised by Print Control – a Warsaw-based magazine and platform for “promoting Polish print design,” according to their website.
Talking about his visit to the LBF (the final day of which is today), Jones says that it gives him a chance to “get out of my design comfort zone
