Never be fooled into thinking science is not creative. In recent years, the team at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory, has been having great fun building up a series of fantasy travel posters for genuine space destinations, supporting its strong belief that ‘imagination is our window to the future.’

Part of JPL’s Exoplanet Travel Bureau series, ‘Visions of the Future’ is a collection of prints that depict both famous planets and newly discovered locations, all in a wonderful vintage travel poster style that echoes iconic science-fiction and nods towards future possibilities.

Three new prints have just been added, designed by Don and Ryan Clark, the creative duo behind Invisible Creature. Their grandfather worked as a graphic designer for NASA back in the 1960s, so the project has had special meaning for them.

What’s even better? NASA is giving away the whole collection for free! To download printable or digital posters, check out JPL’s website. Wonderful.
