Menlo Park, California–based venture capital firm Sequoia puts people first, and so does its new website. Designed by digital creative agency Instrument, the site humanizes the venture capital firm through in-depth profiles of its employees as well as the companies in which it has seed-invested. The homepage elegantly showcases the CEOs and creators of Sequoia’s clients—a diverse portfolio including Atari, PayPal, LinkedIn and Google—with achromatic portraits overlaid with vibrant colors and symbols. From there, visitors can read interviews with the companies Sequoia funds, and learn more about each of the firm’s account representatives. An overarching navigation bar on each page exposes the key article categories on the website (intentionally listing “People” first), a search bar, and a menu containing job listings and contact information. The site also features localized versions for Sequoia’s branches based in Israel, India and China.
